Remote Day Trading - How do I Make Money?

Day trading online can be a profitable career choice - if you know what you are doing and if you are able to trade with discipline and consistency. The TUI Proprietary Trading Firm website contains a lot of great information to help you become profitable when day trading remotely.

That being said, 80% to 90% of day traders fail. Why? Because they are not disciplined, and let their emotions run amuck while trading.

Proprietary Trading Firms - Dirty Secrets Exposed!

If you have any experience intraday trading with a prop shop or prop firm, you know there are upstanding reputable firms as well as some firms from which you should run screaming and yelling. Here are some things we have heard from our TUI Prop Traders about what the other proprietary firms don't want you to know . . .

The Up Front Buy In Fees

Believe it or not, there are many proprietary trading firms who will charge a substantial "buy-in" fee just for you to start day trading with them. They may also require additional capital risk deposit. Usually the buy-in fee benefits the prop firm, not the trader, as it goes directly towards the firm's profits.

OMG! What a Day for Traders!

Today Aug 8, 2011 was quite a day in the market as we all watched it fall, fall, and then fall some more. You may think day traders would make a boatload of $$ if you just shorted the intraday market. Though this may have worked for the position traders out there, scalpers and day traders know that intraday and position trading are about as related as bunnies and horses.

The market itself was crazy volatile. Though the daily trend was strongly bearish, the jumps and ticks, aka market volatility, made it a very risky trading day. Traders had to exercise extreme caution when entering and exiting the markets.

Remote Day Trading - A Business or Career?

At TUI Prop Trading we talk to several people who want to start remote day trading. One of the most common questions they have is whether online day trading is a job or if they will be salaried.

One of the benefits of owning your own business is that there is no cap on the amount of income you can make. If you manage it properly, earning potential can be unlimited. Online day trading is like a small business. When someone is starting a small business, they take into account their start up capital for things like leases, inventory, salary, working capital and other expenses. They understand there is a potential to lose this money as there are no guarantees their business will succeed.

Online Day Trading & Poker - Is There Common Ground?

Do online day traders and poker players have anything in common? Yes! There are certainly areas in which online day trading and poker playing are similar. If you are a good poker player, you will probably be a good intraday trader.

To be good at online day trading, a trader must be able to read the markets, and use past price action and other indicators to predict future market movements and determine the positions they want to take. Similarly a poker player uses the cards and knowledge of other players to determine their action. Neither of these abilities is easy, it requires skill, knowledge and experience.
